Go New England Patriots!

I am hoping that the New England Patriots have another outstanding game, like they did last week! Today they are playing the St. Louis Rams and maybe Matt Cassel and the team will be able to pull off another win of 41-7?

I think they have a very good shot of doing it, but they all have to pull together and work as a team! St. Louis can be beat, and then we will be that much closer to the playoffs. They are playing at Gillette Stadium, and I wish I was there!

Now, in light of the Patriots game, I have to show you something that I found that I think is absolutely hysterical!!!! I visited this site: Really Bad Tattoos, and laughed my butt off at the one this poor person got!!! the right....what the patriots logo should look like.....

See, strong looking player in Patriots gear, holding a football and looking kind of mean, right????

Now for the hilarious.................

Some poor schmuck got this tattooed on his leg for all time!!!! I am still laughing so hard, even as I post this......

What the heck is this supposed to be?? First off, it looks like a monkey (no offense to monkeys mind you).....and second, what is with that pose???? It looks like his hip is dis-jointed, and his butt is sticking out in some weird angle. Also, what is with the bandages on this guys arms? Does the tattoo artist think that he needs them? The uniform is torn at the sleeves to reveal a supposedly buff arm, but only one, and the fingers look like a kid drew them!

OMG! I can't believe they think this is a Patriots tattoo???

I can tell you one thing, if this ever was put on my body anywhere......I would immediately have it removed, and never, ever...would there be a picture of it for the whole world to see!!

I can't believe it! I wouldn't have paid for it, and would have totally sued the tattoo parlor where it was done. I mean, come on, I think my grandson could draw the patriots logo better than this one!!!

Anyway, that is my humor before the game..........Go Patriots!!!!

Manny Ramirez, offered $30 million a Year...WHAT~?

I just read yesterday that the LA Dodgers made an offer to Manny Ramirez of $30 million a year, for 2 years! I can't believe it!

Now, I have to say that I liked Manny when he played here in Boston for the Red Sox, or let me re-phrase that, I liked his bat and his stats, but what I didn't like were his constant antics. Such drama in baseball! And when he did everything he could to bring this team down, and "begged" to be traded, I was glad to see him go! Then he was so bad in his comments about his time here, and the fans in Boston, he said some really mean things...I just lost all respect for the man. Boston fans love the Sox, but Manny Ramírez never did, he said "The Sox are dead to me now, I moved on with my life". How ungrateful! Kinda makes you wonder why you ever rooted for the Putz in the first place?

I was at the last game he played in Boston, (although we didn't know it at the time) and took some pictures of him that I can look back on and say, that is the last time he was in a Sox uniform. I was at a game that was important, to us, to him, and evidently to Los Angeles, and I do have to admit, he made some good plays, but didn't exactly knock himself out. Maybe he knew he was going? Maybe he just didn't give a shit anymore? It doesn't matter, he's gone now, and I think the team feels as if a burden has been lifted. Only a few of the players have spoken out about him, and that is to be expected, but the "drama" is gone! Here is one of the pics that I took of Manny that night. Most of my pics from that night are blurry or far away (we didn't have close seats) so this is the best one of Manny that I have.
Anyway, back to the $30 million deal....... The Dodgers have made a stupid ass deal to try to re-sign Manny to LA by offering him $30 million a year for 2 years!! WTF?!?
Now I know he's been hitting really well since he got there, but still, that is just an unrealistic amount. Manny's agent has been saying that Manny is looking for a long term contract for at least 4 years, so that he can possibly retire after that contract expires. Supposedly the Dodgers offered this deal to Manny, knowing he is looking for a 4-6 year contract, and would turn it down, and the Dodgers could come out looking like they at least "tried" to re-sign Ramirez. The fans want him to stay in LA, and the Dodgers management look pretty good offering him 30 mil a year for 2 years, which would equal $60 million dollars for 2 years, an unheard of amount! Now, if Manny turns this down, he looks like the bad guy.
Manny will always be Manny, and my thought is....he will indeed turn it down, in hopes of getting a bigger, better deal somewhere else.
What do you think??

A Great New Soduko Like Game, Try It!

Jig Saw Doku Jig Saw Doku

This is one of the best games that I have played in a long time! I love this game for a quick distraction.

It is called Jig Saw Doku
and I found it while surfing the web....
I am not really good at soduko kinds of puzzles, because it seems as though they make them very hard for a beginner like me, but this one, I can DO! Yippeeee!
It also has a "hint" button that lets you know if you have tiles out of place, like at the end, when nothing is fitting, you can click the hint button and it will tell you for example that "6 tiles are wrong". They also give you a "Fix-it" button, so that if you click that after finding out you had tiles in the wrong place, it pulls those wrong tiles out of the grid for you, so you can proceed (hopefully) to put the tiles in the correct position. Kinda like......Soduko for Dummies!! lol
You don't have to sign up to play, just click this link: Jig Saw Doku, or the pics above and you will be taken to the game screen. You can even make the grid bigger if you want. And I think you can make it harder too? I haven't progressed that far!! lol I'm still on soduko for simpletons.....
Anyway, I thought I would share with you, because I love it!
I hope you enjoy it too!

Kay's K9's Tagged me!

Okay, I've just been tagged by Kay's K9s. If you don't know about Kay's K9s, I love her site! She hand crafts animals from felt in the likeness of a pet, or any photograph, and they come out simply amazing! Kay is wonderful in that she donates a portion of every sale to the Ontario SPCA and local animal shelters. Please stop by her website and see all the wonderful kritters that she has felted and the animals she sponsors.

Here is just one of the lovely creations that she made.......The real cat is on the left.......The felted creation replica is on the right...........I am absolutely amazed at the likeness she can obtain! I love how they look so real! She also has many dogs, and even bunnies on her website. And they all look soooo cute!! Kudos to you Kay!

Now this tag means that I am supposed to share 7 facts about myself that are probably not well known by too many people out there.

So here we go with my "7 Random Things About Me"

1. I have a secret addiction to reality shows, I am obsessed with some of them and lmao when something terrible happens (and it usually does!)

2. I have a huge collection of Panda Bears, all shapes and sizes. Luv 'em!

3. I make jewelry, and have a huge collection of treasures I have made that I just can't sell or give away, so I have more than I could ever wear!

4. I eat very unhealthy, in fact, I just ate cookies for dinner..... :)

5. I have a secret crush on Gordon Ramsey of Hell's Kitchen, and never miss any of his shows whether it is the USA shows, or on the BBC. (But, I would never work for him, he seems very tough~!)

6. I believe in the afterlife, and want to have personal experiences with spirits.

7. I am dating a man 10 years younger than me! (I know, shocks the hell out of me too!)

Now it is my turn to tag 7 other blogs, so here goes:

Now, I would love it if you all played along, but I understand that sometimes people don't like these, and don't want to's okay :) I had fun, and I hope that if you participate, that you will have fun too! I am wondering about changing some of my answers, but I think I'll just post this before I correct everything, and make it more "presentable" LOL

New~ Angels Ezine Magazine for Women

Introducing a "New" Women's Magazine

Angels_Screenshot This is a new ezine that is written for women, by women.
I am very proud to be included in the many women who are a part of this extrordinary concept. This is our second issue so far, and the stories that I have read are inspiring and informational.

The main reason this magazine came to life was because there are so many women's voices out there that aren't heard, whether it is because their blogs don't get many readers, or the traffic just isn't coming in, or even just because this would give them another option, or to write outside of thier blog's topic. This magazine gives them an outlet to show off their writing chops, while providing valuable information for others.

We offer a "Featured Photo" that will showcase some great photographers and artists. Let me tell you, the work is phenomenal! I have seen it! There will be so many great pictures in the upcoming issues.

If you would like to contribute to an upcoming issue, please visit our site: Angels Ezine and read about us, or click here: Angels.

We hope you enjoy our magazine, and will subscribe to it. It has taken alot of hard work, and some very dedicated people to get this idea to take form. If you like what you read on Angels, please leave the author a comment to let them know that you enjoyed it.

Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you over there!

Red Sox rally back to defeat Rays!

jd-drew Woooo Hoooooo! My boys did it again!!!

Well, they aren't actually "my" boys, but if you know me, you know that I am a die-hard Red Sox fan and always have been!!

The Sox did the impossible, yet again, to come back and beat the Rays last night in a history making way...

As we all sat and watched, thinking for sure that our beloved Red Sox were going to lose this game for sure, and therefore, be done for the season, being down 7-0 in the seventh inning, they rallied back and beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-7 in the ninth inning!

The hero of this rally has to be J.D. Drew, who, with 2 outs in the ninth inning, singled and brought in "Youk" for the winning run! Kevin Youklis was on base because he singled, but when an error was made, he advanced to second base. The Rays intentionally walked Jason Bay to get to JD Drew.....big mistake!! Drew lined a single and Youk came in to score the winning run! Again, Wooooo Hooooo!

David Ortiz has to be commended for his bat also, he hit a 3-run homer in the seventh after Dustin Pedroia hit an RBI single. Then the eighth inning came, and Drew hit a 2 Run homer, and Coco Crisp hit a RBI single to tie the game... Then came the ninth inning and we were all blown away!

Way to go guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Entrecard Finally Seems to be Working Again~!

A big thank you to all of my Entrecard droppers out there, who continued to drop on me, even when I couldn't reciprocate.

My Entrecard has been acting up for almost a week, and I haven't been able to drop many cards at all! It was taking between 5-10 minutes for each page to load (if I was lucky), and sometimes the page wouldn't even load, I would just get an error message after waiting all that time.

So, it seems as though they have fixed the glitch, and the pages load a helluva lot faster than they were, but still not to my liking.

I have never been able to drop 300 cards at a time, but I am working towards that goal. I get too wrapped up in reading the blogs that I visit....LOL! I have my favorite blogs that I drop on and will continue to do that.

But again, a big thanks for dropping on me! :)

Blog Action Day ~ 2008 ~ Poverty

blog action day People all over the world today are getting together and participating in a great project known as : Blog Action Day.

Today bloggers from everywhere will be writing about one topic: Poverty.

We are all coming together as "one" to hopefully put an end to this terrible issue and to write as one voice about the same subject and how it affects us.

We have all been affected by poverty at some point in our lives, or let me rephrase that, most of us have. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm sure that it has touched just about everyone, in one way or another. Maybe you experienced it first hand, or maybe a neighbor down the street couldn't feed her children? Maybe you saw a homeless person on a city street? Or maybe you are one of the lucky few, who only read about poverty or heard about it on the news? Either way, we all know it exists, and nothing is done? WHY?
free rice

Here is something you can do to help, that doesn't cost can go to this website, Free Rice , and take a quiz or two, or three, and for every answer that you get correct, they will donate 20 grains of rice to the UN World Food Program, and it will help to end hunger! What a great cause! And you can go every day! Not just today, but every day! All it will take will be a little bit of your time, and some correct answers, and you can help to end world hunger. You can learn some things here, and even change the subject to try to get the highest possible correct answers. Now, isn't that a good feeling? I just took the quiz really quick, and I donated 1,000 grains of rice! It may not seem like much, but that is a feast to some! I will be going back often to answer more questions, and do my part.

I simply do not understand why there is poverty at all, when we have politicians who campaign and spend millions of dollars to win a vote....why do they have to spend that much money? Why can't they just drive around and try to get know people? What exactly costs "Millions of dollars" ? I heard somewhere that Hilary Clinton paid 12 million dollars on her campaign, and now she isn't in the running!! That is absurd to me! How can you spend that much money and know that there are starving babies out there?

Lets see......Millions of dollars to "try" to win a vote, or feed some hungry people, I know the choice I would have made! It wouldn't be hard at all! How can they spend that much money, and keep spending it now, knowing there are starving people all over the world, let alone in the country they are trying to run?

Another one that baffles me is the Movie stars...they get paid "20 Million dollars" and more to make a movie...yet they don't see the poverty in the world? How can this happen on a daily basis?

The same goes for the sports players that get paid millions of dollars! Now, out of the choices above, I do have to say that the Sports players are usually the ones who care more, who do more fundraisers, who participate in rallys, but these are usually not the "top notch" players, but the ones who haven't become as jaded as the big guys. But then again...all that money and still poverty? I don't understand?

The average joe is facing poverty around every turn.......Whether it is to scrounge from paycheck to paycheck, or pay one bill or another every month, or even to face losing our homes! The average person faces this every single day! I know, I am there. I have also been worse off than I am now. I have been unemployed and almost lost my house, not eaten for days, and wondered how on earth I was ever going to pull through? I hope to never get back into that position again!

Now, imagine the less unfortunate....the people who have no water.....

There is such an injustice in this country and others when there is poverty that is allowed! If all those "millionaires" gave some of their money to one cause to wipe out poverty, we could see it happen! But for now, those millionaires are going to hold fast to their cash, and leave it up to us to try to make a difference. And that is what we are all trying to accomplish with blog day!

Let us try to wipe out Poverty!!! Forever!!!

It's My Happy Birthday Today~!

It is my Birthday today, and look what I got ~ A doodle of me~!
This is one of two, that my good friend Claire did for me, especially for my birthday! Isn't she the greatest? I love how she got the boobs just right (as if!) and included my candles and sunflower. She is just soooooo very sweet! This was my first present, and I'm gonna take a guess, and say it will probably be the best!!
I have never had a drawing, sketch or doodle done of me before, and I like it! I want to show this off to everyone~~~~ By the way, the other doodle is over on my other blog, Soy Wax Candles Blog, and that one is a hoot! You have to go check it out right now! Tell everyone to come and take a look at what a great job Claire did of me!
I don't have any plans right now for my Birthday, except that I have to work all day! But I've been told to keep my evening free, so that sounds like it could be fun? I think that everyone should have their Birthday off from work as a mandatory thing. Hey, it is only one day a year, and I think there would be more happy employees, if they didn't have to work on their birthday!
Anyway, thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to go over to Claire's blog to see more of her amazing doodles (along with other really cool stuff). By the way, it was her birthday just 2 days ago~!!!
