No Entrecard Dropping Stinks!!

This is my opinion of Entrecard for the past 2 weeks!!!!

Simon Cowell thumbs down image photo pictureI give it the big Ol' thumbs down, because I haven't been able to drop more than a few Entrecards, and I'm not happy about it.

I have sent numerous support tickets, and it starts to work again, and I get to drop a few and then it won't work again....arghhhhh!

It seems as though I am stuck between login and logout for some reason? The screen keeps telling me I have to log in, but the bar up the top shows I'm already logged in, but when I try to drop my cards, it won't let me....so, I try to log in, and it tells me that my email is an invalid email and not one that is registered!! See what I mean??

So then, it starts to work, and Entrecard finally responds to say, we saw recent activity, do you still need assistance?? And I email back "no, the problem seems to be fixed now" and then WHAM! Once the ticket is closed....no more workie for Entrecard for me??

I really am very frustrated, and I really appreciate everyone who has still dropped on me, even though I haven't been able to reciprocate!! Thank you for your faithfullness!!

Hopefully, I will be up and running again soon, and this time if it gets fixed and they email me, I will tell them "No, please look into why it keeps happening??"

I know exactly what you mean- that happened to me a few weeks ago- Be careful of what report to them- I sent a report but they deleted my entire account. I had to send another report to them and they didn't get back to me in like 4 weeks...but they did and they restored my account. But I know what u mean Entrecard can be very difficult to deal with. Hang in there fellow blogger!

This should be no more than a clear cache/cookies/authenticated sessions issue. There is something wrong between you logging in and the login data the widgets need to apply the drop. Thats what the support will tell you unless you've already tried that. Then, there could be a bigger issue. It still however, seems to be client side.

Kat, the login/logout thingy happened to me on a couple of occasions too! Arrrgh.
Have you tried switching browsers?

I use Firefox and it can clear your cache with just one click. It's usually the cache that's the problem.

And yes, I have cleared my cache, rebooted, everything....multiple times...nothing.

And Duni, no, I haven't tried a different browser because all my bookmarks are on here? But that is an idea, at least for the time being, thanks!!

I always had problems when using IE. As soon as I switched to firefox, my problems disappeared.

Good luck figuring it out.

I had all sorts of problems with entrecard using IE, when I switched to firefox, all of the problems dissapeared, it is so much faster and wonderful.. AND my bookmarks followed me to firefox..I don't know if it was something my husband copied and pasted or if it was just automatically there.. But it is something worth into if you do currently use IE. hmmm. I hope that made sense! email me if you have any questions!

The sad thing is....I AM using Firefox.... :(

I know it shouldn't be acting like this, but yet, I am stuck until they fix it??

I am so frustrated!!

Hi Kat,
Sorry to hear of your troubles, that has not happened to me yet, but who knows, have you tried downloading IE 8 it fixes certain things, although if it is thier problem I don't know what it would do but it might not hurt to try it.

KAT, i got a similar problem last week. just when i had the time to drop my cards, it also wouldn't let me. frustrating indeed!

If it happens again, next time they ask if the problem is resolved you can always reply with "yes, it's working now, but I've had several occasions where it quits working again when the support ticket is closed!"

That has happened to me once or twice with entrecard and I usually just wait it out, usually it fixes itself, but I know how stressful it is to not be able to return drops as most droppers lose interest in dropping by your site when you don't drop back..

Anyway, i have found you through Slog Bite, through a game called Slog-a-Blog/Bite-a-Site.. :)
